The story
The brief
Little Comet makes small-batch toys that are built to be played with, not kept on a shelf. For their first collectible line, they wanted characters kids would fall in love with and packaging that felt like part of the toy.
The idea
I designed a crew of friendly monster rockets, each with a name, a home planet and a favorite snack. Their boxes unfold into launch pads, and the back of every box continues a comic that only makes sense once you collect the whole set.

The result
The first run sold out in three days. The line is now stocked by more than four hundred independent toy shops, and a second wave of characters launches next spring.
